Hazelwood Resources Limited is an ASX listed mineral exploration company with tenements throughout the eastern Pilbara region of Western Australia. activIT systems was engaged in January 2006 by Hazelwood’s founding directors to design and implement a computer network for the company. In October 2009 the core infrastructure was upgraded with Dell rackmount servers and a fibre optic Internet link which provides ample capacity for future growth and the increasingly mobile workforce.

With concerns about email archiving and discovery, activIT systems implemented a Symantec Enterprise Vault archiving and discovery solution for Hazelwood in November 2009 – a solution that paid for itself within the first twelve months.

Fleetdynamics provides 24/7 real time GPS tracking for fleet and private vehicles throughout Australia and is a market leader in Western Australia. activIT systems was engaged shortly after the company was founded to consult on system requirements and best practice management of the mission critical servers that need to be running constantly. Our involvement has since expanded to include the design and implementation of multiple geographically isolated redundant systems to ensure that Fleetdynamics can continue to provide service to its customers in the event of power failures or a city-wide disaster.
